Khaw Niaw Mamuang (sticky rice & mango)

If you like coconut milk and mango. You'll love this simple Thai dessert.

Khaw Niaw Mamuang (sticky rice & mango)

Ingredients

  • 1 can coconut milk

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2-3 ripe mangos

  • 1 cup water

  • 3/4 cup sticky (glutinous) rice

  1. Stir rice and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

  2. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir and recover. Microwave for another 4 minutes.

  3. Peel mangos and slice into wedges while the rice cooks.

  4. Warm up the coconut milk with the sugar and salt.

  5. Split the sticky rice into 3-4 bowls.

  6. Arrange mango slices on top.

  7. Pour on the warm milk.
